Luke has decamped from East London to setup shop in the once prestigious Wool Hall Studio. The Chapel-esque building dates back to 1580 when it served as a space to show and sell Wool in the Village of Beckington just outside Frome, Somerset.

Tears for Fears bought the buildings in the 1980’s. It was here they recorded their 1985 US Number One album, “Songs From The Big Chair” including the singles “Everyone Wants to Rule the World” and “Shout.” Van Morrison also made many record at the Wool Hall and later owned the Studio for 10 years. The studio was also used by the likes of Paul Weller, David Sylvian, Paul Weller, the Stereophonics, Joni Mitchell, The Pretenders, and and The Smiths recorded their final album “Strangeways, Here We Come” in 1987.

Luke is currently working out of the original Control Room whilst building a bespoke live tracking facility in one of the larger spaces in the Wool Hall. You can feel the history here in the walls and there is certainly much great music still to come out of the Wool Hall.
